Early years

In his youth, Jimmy played for the youth teams of FC Tribuswinkel and the Badener AC, and finally made the leap to Admira Moedling. Although only 17 years old, Jimmy already played fort he first squad and get’s his nickname „Jimmy“.

He gets his nickname from his coach at Admira and it is referring to Jimmy "The Tulip" of "The Whole Nine Yards" (played by Bruce Willis), because Jimmy was as cold as ice in front of the goal, just as his namesake.

Jimmy moved to the Austrian record champion Rapid Vienna in the summer of 2006. He could already celebrate his first Austrian championship in the season of 2007/08, scoring 10 goals (in 29 games played) along the way.

Rapid finished vice-champion the next season, with Jimmy scoring 27 goals in 34 games, which made him Rapid’s top scorer oft he season.

During his time for Rapid Vienna, Jimmy also had some international accomplishments playing for Austria. He reached the semi finals with the under 19 at the European championship 2006, scoring four times. The next year he got tot he semi finals as well, this time with the under 20 team at the World championship 2007!

He debuted for Austria’s first team 2007 against Paraguay and was a part oft he team fort he EURO 2008 as well. His first goals were a double score against Romania in Austria‘s qualifying campaign for South Africa 2010. Since then he is a first-team regular of manager Didi Constantini.

In the summer of 2009 Jimmy finally moved to Serie A club SSC Napoli and already scores in his first game, playing Salernitana in the Coppa Italia.
